RE: Do What You Love.
β
Enjoy your work.
β
Do what you love.
β
Don't do it for the money.
β
There's money in everything.
β
Pick what you love and become great.
β
β
It's easy to become great if you love something.
β
Most people could make way more money if they did what they loved.
β
Don't waste time doing stuff you don't like - it's a waste of life.
β
Do things that excite you.
β
Nowadays, with the internet, you can make money doing anything.
Here's The Problem
β
Most people hate what they do, but they do it for the money.
β
This causes:β
β
- Anxiety
- Depression
- And a lack of love for life
β
Don't be the guy or girl who hates what they do.
β
It ruins relationships.
β
It ruins your reputation.
β
And it makes you a miserable person.
β
Why do something you don't wake up looking forward to doing?
β
β
You're wasting the finite time you have on this planet.
Do something that invigorates your soul
β
Wake up and feel the spark of life.
β
Turn into a kid again.
β
β
Give up the things of this world.
β
Let your light shine through.
β
Inspire people with your happiness and zeal for life.
β
Your work will be excellent if you love doing it.
β
It won't feel like work if you enjoy it.
β
You'll make more money in the long run - because you'll want to get better naturally.
β
If you get better, you'll BE better.
β
Which means you'll produce better results.
β
Your family will be happy when you're happy.
β
You'll inspire people to do what they enjoy doing.
β
People will look up to you.
β
You will be the life of the party.
β
You'll be excited when people ask you "what you do for a living."
β
The Roadblocks
β
Most people can't delay their gratification to get better at the thing they love.
β
They think they can't make money doing their passion.
β
They don't want to spend an hour daily focusing on their passion.
β
They have too many distractions, pulling them in different directions.
β
They'd rather:
β
- Party
- Drink
- And BS their way through life.
β
They don't want to think about what they love.
β
They believe the lie that society told them.
β
β
They think making money is more important than doing what they enjoy.
β
They have no energy to do what they love because they're drained by doing what they hate.
My Personal Experience
β
I felt miserable before I started writing more often.
β
When I don't write, I get in my head.
β
I feel like I can't do what I love.
β
I think 10 years out.
β
Instead of 1 step ahead of myself.
β
I create elaborate plans about how I'll escape and do what I genuinely enjoy.
β
Being a full-time Writer...
β
But then I think about all the excuses I said above.
β
And it paralyzes me.
β
I tend to think about things with the mindset of:
β
How much "money" can it make me in the short term?
β
But when I think like that, I become sad.
β
I think about what I truly want.
β
Then, I tend to shoot it down with self-limiting beliefs.
β
Those limiting thoughts never work out for me.
β
But then I see other people listen to their limiting beliefs.
β
And I give them the remedy that I'm giving myself here in this letter.
β
And it's time to stop doing that.
β
It's time to enjoy life every day.
β
It's time to wake up and be excited about life.
β
β
To look forward to something when I wake up.
β
To not endlsessly scroll Facebook in my bed until 10 AM.
β
So here I am.β
β
- Writing.
- Sharing my thoughts.
- Giving my 2 cents to the world.
- Not holding back anymore.
- Being the man that God has called me to be.
β
I don't fully know who that man is yet.
β
But I'm doing something every day that invigorates my soul.
β
And I hope it inspires someone else to do the same.
β
So here's my list of ways to invigorate your soul and become who God has called you to be.
Step 1: Acknowledge that you're stopping yourself
β
The only person stopping you is you.
β
Nobody else is.
β
Social media isn't stopping you.
β
Your parents aren't stopping you.
β
Your significant other isn't stopping you.
β
Your kids aren't stopping you.
β
The only thing stopping you is the little voice in your head.
β
β
See it for what it is and acknowledge it.
β
Then tell it to shut up.
β
And move on to step 2.
Step 2: Go for what you wantβ
β
Even if it's 20 minutes a day.
β
Do what you want.
β
Do what you love.
β
Do what brings you joy.
β
If it's writing, write more.
β
β
Stop scrolling, start writing.
β
If it's working out, go for a walk and work out.
β
Stop sitting inside and wondering what it would be like if you worked out.
β
If it's sales, do sales.
β
Forget about the immediate gratification of the money.
β
Who cares if you make more doing tech right now?
β
Go and sell something.
β
You don't have to get a full-time job.
β
Sell something in your apartment or house.
β
The goal is to:
β
- Do the thing that you want to do.
β
Build up the amount of time in the day that you do what you love.
β
β
And that's it.
β
Build up the amount of times you do what you love each day.
Do more of what you love.
β
Eventually, life will open up a path for you.
β
You'll end up doing what you love all day long.
β
And life will be a culmination of doing what you enjoy.
β
And you'll be able to look back and say you're living your dream life.
β
β
It's not easy, but it's that simple.
β
Make the switch.
β
Stop letting your inner voice win the day.
β
Take action and let your passion win the day.
β
You already know what you want to do.
β
So do it.
β
Forget what anyone has to say.
β
Set a timer for 20 minutes and do something you love to do.
β
β
Then do 21 minutes tomorrow.
β
Then 22 the next day.
β
Keep building up until your day is full of what you love to do.
β
God will direct your steps.
β
You'll get it figured out.
β
I promise.
β
Dont stop.
β
Keep going.
β
You got this.
β
I believe in you.
